Casino bonuses and wagering requirements explained
· 4 min read
Most casino bonuses have to be wagered before you can withdraw. The wagering requirement tells you how much you need to bet, as a multiple of the bonus, before the bonus money becomes withdrawable.
How to calculate it
Multiply the bonus by the requirement. A bonus of 100 with 35x wagering needs 3,500 in bets. It does not have to be one big bet: every settled bet counts, so a hundred bets of 35 do it too.
| Bonus | Wagering | Bets needed |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | 35x | 1,750 |
| 100 | 35x | 3,500 |
| 500 | 35x | 17,500 |
Common bonus rules
- Often the full stake of every settled bet counts, but some casinos count some games at a lower rate.
- While a bonus is being wagered, withdrawals are usually locked.
- Many bonuses have a maximum bet or an expiry date; check both before you accept.
- Many casinos let you forfeit a bonus, which removes it and unlocks withdrawals.
Is a bonus worth it?
A bonus gives you more to play with, and on games with a high RTP more of it tends to survive the wagering. It is not free money: you still need to bet the full requirement, and results vary. If you would rather withdraw freely, turn the bonus down when it is offered.
Always read the bonus terms before you accept an offer. At LuckyZoo there is nothing to wager: every game is free to play with Credits, and there are no deposits or bonuses.
LuckyZoo is a free social casino for adults: Credits have no cash value and there is no real money gambling. Play for fun, and set limits if you need them.
